Tesla just shook up the electric pickup truck market. On February 19th, 2026, the company officially launched a brand-new Cybertruck AWD trim, starting at just $59,990 — making it the most affordable Cybertruck ever offered. For enthusiasts who’ve been waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger on Tesla’s bold stainless steel pickup, that moment may have finally arrived.
Let’s be real — we’ve all been waiting for this. When Elon Musk first unveiled the Cybertruck back in November 2019, the promise was a Dual Motor AWD starting at $49,990. That price point had the entire truck community buzzing. Then came the delays, the redesigns, and the reality of production costs. When the first deliveries finally rolled out in late 2023, they were $120,000 Foundation Series models — three times what many of us had originally put our $100 deposits down for. The dream of an affordable Cybertruck started to feel like exactly that — a dream.
Tesla tried to bridge that gap in 2025 with a single-motor Rear-Wheel-Drive model at $69,990, but it missed the mark. It stripped away too many of the features that made the Cybertruck special — no powered tonneau cover, no adaptive suspension, no bed outlets, no Powershare — and it still cost $70K. The community spoke with their wallets, and the RWD was quietly discontinued after just a few months.
But this new AWD trim feels different. At $59,990, it’s not only $10,000 cheaper than that discontinued RWD — it’s a fundamentally better truck. You get two motors, all-wheel drive, 325 miles of range, and nearly every feature that made the higher trims desirable. For the thousands of reservation holders who watched from the sidelines as prices climbed further and further from what was originally promised, this is the Cybertruck that finally makes sense. It’s not the $49,990 we were promised in 2019, but adjusted for inflation, Tesla is closer than most people expected they’d ever get.

What’s New With the Cybertruck AWD?
The new Cybertruck AWD is a Dual Motor, all-wheel-drive configuration that slots in below the existing Premium AWD and Cyberbeast trims. Despite the significantly lower price tag, this isn’t a stripped-down base model. Tesla has packed it with core features that made the Cybertruck iconic in the first place.
Here’s what comes standard on the new Cybertruck AWD:
- Dual Motor AWD with an estimated 325 miles of range
- 0–60 mph in 4.1 seconds with 600 horsepower
- Steer-by-wire and four-wheel steering for unmatched maneuverability
- Powered tonneau cover
- Bed outlets — two 120V and one 240V — with Powershare capability
- Coil springs with adaptive damping
- Powered frunk
- 6′ x 4′ composite bed
- Towing capacity of 7,500 lbs
- Heated first-row seats with durable, easy-to-clean textile upholstery
- 18.5″ center touchscreen display
- 18-inch wheels with all-season tires
- 325 kW max charging speed
This is a massive upgrade over the discontinued Cybertruck RWD that Tesla briefly offered in 2025. That single-motor variant, priced at $69,990, lacked a powered tonneau cover, adaptive suspension, bed outlets, Powershare, and premium interior features. The new AWD delivers significantly more truck for $10,000 less — and with the added confidence of dual-motor all-wheel drive.
What Are the Trade-Offs?
To reach that sub-$60,000 price point, Tesla made some calculated trims. The new AWD uses coil springs with adaptive damping rather than the full adaptive air suspension found on the Premium AWD and Cyberbeast. That means no adjustable ride height. Towing capacity comes in at 7,500 lbs compared to 11,000 lbs on the higher trims. The payload is rated at 2,006 lbs, down from 2,500 lbs.
Inside, you’ll find textile upholstery instead of premium materials, no ventilated front seats, and no 9-inch rear passenger display. The audio system runs a 7-speaker setup instead of the 15-speaker premium system with active noise cancellation. There are also no cabin outlets, no L-tracks, and no gear locker/vault in the bed.
For many buyers, these are perfectly reasonable trade-offs for a truck that still delivers 600 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and over 300 miles of range at a price point that was previously unthinkable for the Cybertruck.
Cyberbeast Gets a $15,000 Price Cut Too
The pricing moves don’t stop at the new AWD trim. Tesla simultaneously dropped the Cyberbeast price from $114,990 back down to $99,990 — a $15,000 reduction that reverses a price hike from August 2025. The Cyberbeast remains the performance flagship with its tri-motor setup, 845 horsepower, 2.6-second 0–60 time, and 11,000 lb towing capacity. At under $100,000, it’s a far more compelling proposition for buyers who want the ultimate Cybertruck experience.
When Can You Get One?
The new Cybertruck AWD is available to order now directly through Tesla’s configurator. Deliveries are expected to begin in June 2026, giving buyers a few months to plan their purchase and start thinking about how they want to personalize their truck.
